Tottenham Signs Lukaku on Loan with Chelsea...

Manchester United's forward Romelu Lukaku has signed for Italian club Inter Milan, but the English club have been able to sign another striker in his place.

Lukaku, who has scored 16 goals in just 27 appearances this season, was due to join Inter on loan until January 2021, but has now signed for Tottenham Hotspur instead.

The deal is a £45 million fee and he will be out on loan for the rest of the season.

Lukaku, who had been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, has been a regular at Old Trafford since joining from Everton in 2017.

He has scored 99 goals in 188 appearances for Manchester United, including two goals against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League last season.

However, after scoring just one goal in 13 games this season, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided it was time to make a change.

Lukaku's departure means that Harry Kane is likely to start up front for Spurs, alongside Dele Alli and Son Heung-min.

It's not clear whether Spurs will try to bring in a replacement for Lukaku, or if they will look elsewhere for a striker.

But one thing is certain: the arrival of Lukaku will provide competition for Kane and give him something to aim for in terms of goals and assists.

It remains to be seen how much impact he will have in the Premier League, but it's certainly going to be interesting to see what happens next.
